Click-cluck! Kerrup! Kerrup! Tony stirred in his sleep, some weird, distant sound getting into him. Sometimes it did happen, and Tony hoped it wasn't the case this time, that Dummy dropped a wrench into a blender, confused in his task of preparing green smoothies. Well, his bot was trying, and Tony wasn't the one to knock down someone's enthusiasm, but he better got up and see what was cooking, or blending, and prevent the damage - Just when he opened his eyes, he wasn't down in the workshop, but in the dimly lit living room, laying on his side on the couch, illuminated in the glow of a tv screen, that displayed some big, dark bird. Click-cluck! Click-cluck! Kerrup! "What's wrong with this turkey?" he asked the tv, and his shoulders jumped when he got an answer he didn’t expect. "It's not a turkey." "Jeez!" Tony complained, turning on his back and rubbing his face to get the sleep out, just realizing that this whole time he had been asleep with his head resting in Steve's lap.

"Uhhh... Steve..." "Mm? What's up, babe?" "Uh. I am not feeling well." "What? Why?" Steve closed his book, frowning at the words. It wasn't like Tony to complain that he felt sick. Usually, Tony popped some pills and got back to whatever he was doing, claiming that he was too busy to feel sick. It showed in the way he had been standing in front of Steve, with a long face and hunched over, clearly out of his place. "Come here," Steve urged, calling the other man closer. With some effort, Tony climbed into the bed next to his husband and Steve put his arms around Tony's waist, pulling him close. He put his lips against brunet’s forehead, looking for traces of fever, but the skin wasn't hot. Just normal temperature. Still, Tony had this pained look on his face and gave off some miserable vibes. "Will you tell me what's wrong?" Steve asked, cradling his husband close. It was rare for Tony to come to Steve in his moment of sickness. His whole life Tony had to rely on himself

He was on a meadow. It was sunny and calm, gentle wind carried the scent of wildflowers and herbs. So peaceful. Just him and the soft melody of nature. Then, in the distance, he saw a sheep. A white, fluffy sheep, resembling a cloud on thin legs, slowly and meticulously eating grass, the mouth moving funnily with every bite. Near the sheep, was a lamb, jumping and running around, trying to get its mother's attention, clearly in a playful mood. When it didn't work, the lamb started to push its small head into the sheep's fluffy side, trying to headbutt its mother. It was heartwarming and silly, and Steve kept looking at it with a smile until he realized that there was some pressure on his arm. Then a push, jostling him a bit. In the same rhythm as the baby lamb nudged the sheep, Steve felt someone pushing on him. It wasn't painful, but was annoying and continued, and continued, and continued - "Mhm," Steve stirred in his sleep, the annoying nudging from his dream not going away. He

SQUREEEEEWAAAAAAAA! Peter jolted his head up, the loud, screeching noise getting to him despise the music blasting in the headphones. That kind of scream could mean only one thing. His and his dad's project was completed and they successfully recreated a breathing, living pterodactyl. Feeling a rush of excitement, Peter turned around on the swivel chair, abandoning his biology homework, trying to leap out of his chair, just to be yanked back, when the cord from the headphones held him back. Damn the day he lost yet another pair of Starkpods and his dad refused to gift him new ones. He shook the headphones off and rushed out of his room, following the screeching, eyes shining in excitement of seeing the flying reptile and - And being painfully let-down when he saw the reality. Scratch that, he definitely didn't want to see that reality. Eye bleach should be a thing. On the couch were his parents and at the first sight, it looked like Iron Man and Captain America got into a fight

If Steve had to point out which piece of furniture he hated the most, it would be a couch. It was good neither for sitting, not having proper support for arms, neither for laying down comfortably on the narrow, often too short space. And don't get him even started on the pillows, which were solely for decorative purposes and not fit to use. Couches were the worst. The couch in his and Tony's living room was the worst. Steve felt like setting it on fire. It wasn't their couch's fault that he and Tony got in a massive argument over something stupid and Steve was banned to sleep in the living room. Steve just needed to take out his anger on something, and well, he had only the couch to do that. The couch he and Tony liked to sit on and watch TV, Tony somehow always ending with his butt in Steve's lap, despite plenty of room left. Their couch wasn't that narrow but sometimes seemed so, whenever Steve walked on Tony napping and Steve just had to slot himself between Tony and the

"Tony... What's that?" Steve found himself not able to stop smiling. There was some feeling coming back, one he didn't feel quite in a while, or at least not as prominently as now. Giddiness? Yes, that was the word. By Tony's smile, twitching and spreading and the happy sparkle in his eyes, Steve could say that Tony felt the same, pleased that his Valentine's surprise worked out so well. Every day, their bedroom presented quite simple, with crumpled sheets, lone clothes here and there, organized in a modern, minimalistic style and with few heartwarming accents like their wedding photo on the nightstand, or more humoristic ones, meaning the tie with a ducky pattern, looped over the wardrobe handle. This was like cupid decided to drop by, got drunk on Tony's scotch, and vomited everywhere. "Oh my gosh, how did you even - " Steve laughed, still not believing what he was seeing. He was an artist and had a good eye for color, but it was like Tony used the whole palette of red and pink

WHUMP. "What the-?!" Tony jolted his head up, bleary eyes coming to focus. He looked around, slowly realizing that he was down in his workshop, a holographic screen in front of him and a ton of papers scattered all around. No immediate threat, just this throbbing pain in his forehead, when he had lost the fight against staying awake and slammed his head into the desk. "Ow," Tony whined miserably, rubbing his forehead, trying to soothe the pain. December was a weird month. It could be the greatest when one was a kid, looking forward to the Holiday days, but became one of the most stressful times in adult life, when the Holidays coupled with the year ending and finishing all business work. Tucked in the corner of his lab, was a Christmas tree, real and smelling of a forest. It was in its most natural state for now as he still didn't find the time to decorate it with silver and blue ornaments, and as much as he loved Dummy, he didn't trust him with this task, his special bot setting on

When morning came, Tony was woken up by kisses. A lot of them, pressed to his chin, along his jawline, up his cheek, moving in some light, fluttery pattern, as if helping him to wake up. "Mhm," Tony hummed in approval, slowly turning his face in the direction from where the kisses were coming, enjoying the warm lips gliding up his temple, along the eyebrows, kissing the still closed eyes. "Mhh," the kisses going down the bridge of his nose and a small, funny peck on the tip of his nose, finally made him open his eyes, lips curling into a smile. "Morning," Tony whispered in a sleepy voice, looking at the blue eyes hovering above him. "Morning, babe," Steve smiled back, coming closer to place a proper kiss on his husband's lips. It was warm and inviting, and shared mornings with Tony were easily one of his favorite things. Tony put his hand on Steve's cheek, keeping him in place for a bit longer and going in for a more indulgent kiss, taking in every moment. Sweet, lazy mornings like

"Sooo... Any plans for today?"
Steve looked over his shoulder, hearing the question. It was a regular question but said in that sing a song way as if suggesting something and the way Clint had put his elbows on the table and leaned in, eyebrows raised expectantly just added to the mystery. And Steve had no clue what that was about.
"Uh. No, not really," Steve answered, cracking some eggs into a bowl and adding milk, not measuring it, just eyeballing. Pancakes for breakfast. That was his nearest plan.
"Wait... You didn't make any plans?"
"Why should I make any plans?" Steve asked back, ad
