Fate Has Worked Thier Strings 4

   "What has Tiger done to you Barnaby? Ever since you two became an item a few months ago you've been actually happy more often." Keith asked a happy Barnaby.

    With a chuckle Barnaby answered "He's actually showed me that someone can love me,and how can I not smile with all that's happened." and he placed a hand on his now baby bump.

     Everything has become a little more mellow and and somewhat humorous according to the rest of the gang, especially whenever Kotetsu was a little too over protective of Barnaby. Then like on a que Kotetsu walks in and hugs his bunny from behind.

    "Hey Bunny,Keith. Watcha up to?" he asked then kissed Barnaby on the cheek. Both Barnaby and Keith laughed and told him they were just talking, and Kotetsu ended up joining the conversation.

     After about ten minutes the three of them got the idea of seeing if the rest of the group wanted to hang out at the park for just a little fun. They then went to ask them and everyone thought it would be a great idea.

     " Sounds fun!! I got the soccer ball!!!" said Pao-Lin.

     She beat the others outside the building chasing after the ball. They were able to get a field to play on, and of course Barnaby had to stay on the side lines. He didn't like it very much, but it had bigger pros compared to that. It bugged him a little because he couldn't do hero work, but he did enjoy welcoming his Kotetsu home everytime. That was always the best part.

     Everyone was having alot of fun, and Barnaby was taking pictures. Soon a time out was called and Kotetsu walked over to Barnaby.

  " Hate not being part of this fun, Bunny?" he asked when he took off his shirt leaving on a black tank top.

    "Not really. A little disappointed, but I get better fun-" Barnaby didn't finish his sentence when he put his hand straight on his belly and grabbed Kotetsu's and put it on the same spot.

    "Is that...the baby? ~Barnaby smiles and nods~ It feels amazing" says Kotetsu and he kisses Barnaby.

     The others then came over to see what was going on Ivan was the first to ask "what's happening?". 

     "Baby's first kicks." is all Barnaby told them. Nathan then grabbed the camera and said that the parents-to-be should take a little picture.

     "Hey Antonio, Can you hold onto this for me til tonight at the dinner?" Kotetsu then handed Antonio an engagement ring box.

     "Of course Kotetsu you can count on me." answered Antonio. It was 11:30 in the morning and Kotetsu knew he had to get Barnaby to the ultrasound appointment around noon so they had to leave right then .So they said that they'll see the rest of them at the dinner. Kotetsu helped Barnaby into the car,and they drove off hand in hand.

     Once at the doctor's office Kotetsu couldn't keep his hand from rubbing Barnaby's belly for the reason he was still amazed at the feeling.

      "Keep encouraging and no fun tonight." said Barnaby.

      "Aww! I hate when you play the 'No Fun' card on me but I can't help it... It's so irresistible, but not as much as you." replied Kotetsu he then kissed Barnaby.
 
    Five minutes later the doctor came in to perform the ultrasound. "Alright Mr. Brooks lay back, uncover your abdomen, and the gel is cold." said the doctor. Th couple was glad to see and hear that thier baby was ok.

     The doctor then got silent which scared the two. Worried Barnaby asked if something was wrong.

      "In the matter of fact no, Turns out it's actually twins in here. See?" said the doctor. Kotetsu had just stood up to stretch and when he heard twins he fainted. "Kotetsu!" yelled Barnaby.  

      The doctor quickly cleaned of the gel and Barnaby went down to Kotetsu.

       "Wake up please...Maybe this'll work ."He said then he tried a sleeping beauty trick; he gave Kotetsu a passionate kiss. Kotetsu just sprung awake.

     " Now if you want to pick up Kaede in time we better get going or she'll want to move back in with your mother." said Barnaby. That just made Kotetsu  run like a maniac to he car,and Barnaby just walked laughing.

      Once they got to where they were picking up Kaede she went to hug Barnaby right away, because she was so excited to become a big sister. Then she she went to hug her dad.

      "Hey Kaede sweetie. Bunny and I have some news for you...Barnaby's actually pregnant with twins." said Kotetsu.

       Kaede's face just lit up like a lightbulb "REALLY?! YIPPEE!!" she yelled.

       It made both Barnaby and Kotetsu laugh. Then Barnaby told her to come and feel them kick which just got her more excited. When they finally calmed her down they left to home,and Kotetsu helped her put her stuff away. After they were done and she was moved in they had to get ready for the dinner.

      At the dinner they were greeted by Pao-lin and Karina. "Hey you three,and Kotetsu Antonio wants you." said Pao-lin.

      Everyone was having so much fun. Nathan still called Barnaby his handsome which didn't bother him just that he would always hug him. Then Mr. Lloyds called everyones attention.

     " Can I please have everybody's attention? Kotetsu has something to say.". Kotetsu walked next to Antonio who passed him the box, he then grabbed the mic and walked over to Barnaby.

      "Barnaby, I know our relationship started rough mostly because we didn't want to work together, but it got better and I want to ask you something...~he goes down to one knee~ Will you marry me?" Kotetsu asked.

      The room fell quiet then Barnaby spoke "Of course I will you 'Old Man" Kotetsu placed the ring on his finger and kissed him. They then called Kaede into a hug.

   The fun and joy was short lived. Smoke appeared in the room no one could see a thing. Kotetsu couldn't feel Kaede in his arms or Barnaby's hand in his.

    "Kaede, Bunny!! Where are you?!" he yelled.

    Once the smoke cleared Ivan and Karina screamed "KOTESU THE STAGE!!!!". On the stage there was a man and his partner who had Kaede and Barnaby in their grasp and knives to thier throats. Unfortunately for the perp who had Kaede he turned out he was a NEXT. She copied his power and put a smoke screen and got free and into Kotetsu's arms, and Barnaby activated his power and got out of the guys hold. He didn't get away unscaved, the guy he just cut his arm a little.

    "No one hurts my family and gets away with it!!" yelled Kotetsu and he beat the perps up and threw them to the police to take them away.

    "You ok Handsome, Kaede?" Nathan asked. He helped Barnaby to his feet.

     "Yeah we're just fine just a little cut on my arm that's it." said Barnaby.

     Nathan helped tend to the cut Antonio and Kotetsu checked on Kaede. Once everything had calmed down everyone was able to enjoy themselves again,and Barnaby still couldn't believe that Kotetsu had proposed to him,his fiance walked up to him and wrapped his arms around him, kissed him and the twins kicked at the actions and both just started to laugh.

     "Guess they don't like it when you two do that" said Ivan when he came up to congratulate the couple. It was starting to get late and everyone was starting to leave. The last one to leave was Antonio, he stayed a little longer to talk to Kotetsu and Barnaby. Once he left Kotetsu,Barnaby,and Kotetsu went home.

     Kaede had to be carried up to her room because she fell asleep on the way home.

    "She falls asleep so easily sometimes huh?" asked Barnaby.

     "Sometimes, but it's better if she's like this late at night. Most of the time she would refuse to go to bed." answered Kotetsu.

     They both took her upstairs and laid her gently on her bed, and went back down stairs to spend sometime alone just them two.

     "Today was just too crazy." said Barnaby with a yawn. Kotetsu agreed,yawned and placed his hand on Barnaby's belly. The two of them cuddled close and watched a little TV and talked a little more. Eventually Kotetsu and Barnaby fell asleep on the couch, but they didn't mind.
